Hi, My lovely girlfriend was setting up her nokia 6230i last night and on
switch on for the first time the phone asked her to input the number of her
voice mailbox for the speed dial no. 1 key. She thought this meant input her
own phone number instead and that is what she did. Now the phone calls her
number when putting someone through to her answer phone and subsequently
gets cut off. Is there any way to change the number for speed dial key 1 as
the usual speed dial menu does not allow you to assign a number to the 1
    key?

    Thanks in advance,

    Higgy

    I would think that
    menu/messages/Voice Messages/voice mailbox number
    might be what you want.

    Remove 'no_spam_' from email address.

Thankyou for that. She has now got the number for her voice mailbox. Do you
know how she can assign it to the no.1 on the keypad. The speed dial menu
only allows you to assign the keypad numbers 2 to 9.

    Thanks

Thanks that did work, she was never the best at technology...I think it is a
few more months practice with the iron and the cooker for her before
graduating onto using the DVD player unsupervised ;-)
