Hi there
I have the option to get a cheap Orange locked D500. However a website which
sells code unlocks says it is not available for this phone. Is this true?
If this is the case I cannot buy the phone.
Cheers
David.

Very few handsets are unlockable by codes (usually Nokias). The D500 on
Orange can be unlocked in 3 ways.
1. Send to an unlocker who'll unlock by software or a clip (usually
cheapest, quickest, but you'll be without a handset for 3 days)
2. But a clip, plus it in, and turn your phone on (slightly more expensive,
very little work, left with a spare D500 clip at the end)
3. Get the code from Orange (more expensive)
I'd personally go with 1 or 2.
