Can you unlock the o2 XDA IIi devices?
I have a Vodafone Pay as You Go SIM I want to use in one.

Yes. See www.xdadevelopers.com. I have unlocked spv 2000 (orange
equivalent) successfully - I did have to run the program twice though.

After you unlocked it did it change any of the functions or could you use it
for everything the same as before? Thanks - Doogan.

Firstly, thanks to Simon for the link!
Downloaded and unlocked really easily
Doogan - as far as I can tell everything works as before. All the special o2
stuff is still there although obviously not available through a Vodafone
SIM. GPRS had to be set up for Vodafone but once I figured that out, I was
emailing same as before.
All built in PDA functions - calendar, contacts etc seem fine.
I think you could also configure it to access the Vodafone Live content but
it is not of interest to me so I didn't bother checking.
