Does anyone know what's up with my voicemail? I have an N70 on
Vodafone. Whenever I get a call and I've not been able to answer it I
get a text from voicemail telling me about it. Someone has been
calling me several times last week on one day when I couldn't answer
my phone. I've not been able to dial 121 to get through to voicemail.
It says something along the lines of that its not available at this
time?
Does anyone know how I switch off the thing that keeps sending me
texts and also if there is a problem with Vodafone voicemail?
Cheers

try dialling 242, failing that dial *#104# and that will give your
your voicemailbox number, dial that number and see if it puts you
through to your voicemail instead, you could then always save the
voicemailbox number in the settings so that just pressing and
holding the number 1 key dials it, that way if you ever go abroad
you wont have bother remembering it before you go or wondering
if 121 will work on the foreign network.

I wouldn't say that there is a problem with Vodafone voicemail,
however having just experienced my employers switching from a T-Mobile
to Vodafone contract, my observation is that it is my far the most
inconvenient and least intuitive mobile phone voicemail system that
I have ever used.
Vodafone's system designers should spend some time using
T-Mobile voicemail, to see how it should be done. As for the text
notifications, I have found no way to turn them off, and was delighted
to find that option in fact. The Vodafone service on migration was
originally set up so that Vodafone would ring me with an automated
voice call notification each time a voicemail was left, which is
infinitely worse!
