I just called orange to disconnect my contract. So i get that recorded
message " we are currently very busy due to high numbers of calls. there
might be a delay on answering your call. Please call later if you can". As
soon as that message is over they pick up.

Tell the guy yeah i wanna disconect and asks me "Is there any reason why you
    want to leave orange?"
I reply and say no not really. So he goes and disconects me and i ask for a
PAC code. Then the rudeness begins. In a annoyed voice he says to me "I just
ASKED you if there was any reason you wanted to leave Orange!!!" As if i
done something wrong. I go along with it asking him "so...? i just want a
pac code?" then he tells me its so orange can try and make me an offer... i
told him im moving to o2 pay and go and he hangs up on me.

Maybe he's preparing you for the horrors of O2 CS. Overall, Orange is
worse, but O2's Customer Service is world-class at being "not very
    good"
