Hi All, Does anyone know the expiry time for a text message on o2 ? Say
for example the phone is switched off and someone texts it how long
will it try to deliver before it expires ? this is people texting from
o2 to o2.

I think it's determined by the settings in the phone that is sending.

Great name. Irma. Anyway, it does depend on the setting on the phone, *but*
as far as I am aware the 'maximum' setting on the phone relates to about 2
or 3 weeks attempted delivery - pretty sure it's 2ish weeks. You may notice
if you go on holiday you won't get a swarm of texts you expect when you get
back.
Or maybe that's just because you've no friends, and are an inhibited social
reject. But I hope that wasn't the case with me ;-)

With me it was because I am a social retard. Anyway, I believe you can
set the time to unlimited (I'm sure this is the case on Nokias, anyway).

The Nokia "Maximum Time" setting equates to 1 week. I don't think any
network will try for longer than that anyway.
