Does anyone know what this outfit is?

They called my Three mobile number. When answered it rings (clearly a
computer doing the dialling). An Indian (or Pakistani or similar) woman
answered saying she was from "Advanced Mobile Firm" and asked if I was
    with Vodafone.

Now, my number is ported from Vodafone, but as far as I know mobile
numbers aren't listed, so I asked her where the company got my number
from. She said from "public listing". When I told her my number wasn't
    listed she hung up.

So I called the number back to see who it was. It connects to a
voicemail system. "Our office are now closed" says the voice, despite
the fact that I'd been called only 2 or 3 minutes earlier. It then asks
you to key in your phone number so an agent can call you back. Fat
    chance, matey!!

I found one other mention through Google of this number, but it's not
very helpful - someone else wondering who it is.

    Anyone know...?

[I know I ought to report it to the ICO, but I can't yet as I don't
have a printer for their form, they don't have an online form, and the
form appears to require a signature.]

Sorry can't help with identifying the number.

ICO do have online forms (Word/PDF) - sorry if I misunderstood and you
mean an html page where you fill the details in on the web and submit by
clicking on a button. I've submitted the relevant cold-calling complaint
forms via e-mail as an edited PDF which hasn't included my signature
(just a note beside where I've entered my name saying the form was
submitted electronically), and they seem to have been happy to accept it
    by e-mail as a PDF.

    The ICO forms are at:

Oh that's OK then. I assumed that they needed a signature - I'll do the
    Word one then.

And I did mean the forms which can be submitted via the web page, but
    no worries. :-)

Well the ICO has let me down. Despite my complaint explaining that they
hung up each time that I asked how they got my number, they simply said
I need to ask them to remove my number. Maybe I was expectring too
    much...

Fortunately, the company never rang again anyway! :-)
