I have been thinking of getting an HTC Prophet, which is also known as the
Orange SPV M600 as well as other names, however I've been reading about it's
slower processor speed, in another thread.
I'm wondering if it is worth waiting for the HTC Trinity, reportedly it is
3G, a faster processor, but most importantly has a built in GPS receiver,
since TomTom is one of the few things I need smartphone features for, it
might be worth holding out?

As a Orange SPV M600 owner, I would say, yes, wait - if you read
through the modaco forums about overclocking the HTC Prophet, it's
nearly all people either wanting to run Skype properly or TomTom.
Even moving down a small (6 page) pdf on the SPV M600 is painfully slow
- on my SPV M500 it was not a problem - I also had TomTom on my SPV
M500, although I didn't use it because of the drain on battery life
(would have been OK in a car charger of course!).
If you're not bothered about 3g, you might mwant to look at the Mio
with built in GPS.

I already have a Bluetooth GPS receiver so getting GPS isn't a problem. But
if I can have it built into the phone itself, then so much the better.

Tomtom is currently unable to utilise any in-built GPS so I've read.
