I have an unlocked K750i (was on Orange) and the software is R1N035. I know
there are more recent updates but when I run the SEUS it tells me no updates
are available as I have the most recent one. Any ideas why this should be?
    Thanks.

Yep, it is unlocked but not unbranded. When you connect to the SE website,
it says, oooh, Orange phone. Which is the most up to date Orange firmware,
R1N035, yes, you already have the most up to date software.

Go to http://www.davinciteam.com/ pay your 10 Euros and get it unbranded.
You'll automatically get the latest firmware installed and get rid of the
Orange ****. Then if SEUS release newer firmware you will be able to
    download it.

even though your phone is now unlocked it is probably still branded
Orange and Orange have probably not released the latest K750i firmware
    with their branding in it.

if you want to you can "unbrand" your firmware - put in the latest
Sony Ericsson default one, not the Orange one - using the software at
    http://www.davinciteam.com (at a small cost)

You might find the info and the forums at http://www.esato.com of
    interest
