    Hi guys,

Just a quick heads-up on two cracking deals that I really can't believe
are available - infact, I suspect that they will be extremely
    short-lived deals.

E2Save are currently offering two cracking deals on the 3 network, both
with a free PSP Giga pack (currently worth about £185), where the
overall cost to the customer (after the value of the cashback and the
free gift is taken into account) is at or near zero. This is the first
time ever that a package with a free gift has rivalled a straight
cashback deal in terms of value and I dare say that they will sell out
very fast once word gets around.

As an added bonus, E2Save will automatically send out the PSP Giga pack
28 days after the start of the contract so you won't even have to submit
a claim for it. That's like getting a £185 cashback automatically after
    only one month...Fantastic!

    The deals are as follows:

    LG U8330
    Three Video Talk & Text 700 (12 months) @ £35/month
7 months free line rental + free PSP Giga pack
    Cashback: £64.17 claimable after 4, 8 & 12 months
Network Discount: 1/2 price for 3 months (worth £52.50)
PSP sent out 28 days after contract commences

    Outlays = (35 * 12) - 52.50 = £367.50
    Cashback = 3 * 64.17 = £192.51
    Cost after cashback = 367.50 - 192.51 = £175
    minus the value of the gift = £175 - £185 = MINUS £10

    NON-affiliate link:

    ============

    LG U880
    Three Video Talk & Text 700 (12 months) @ £35/month
6 months free line rental + free PSP Giga pack
    Cashback: £10 (auto) after 2 months + £49.17 after 4, 8 & 12 months
Network Discount: 1/2 price for 3 months (worth £52.50)
PSP sent out 28 days after contract commences

    Outlays = (35 * 12) - 52.50 = £367.50
    Cashback = 10 + (3 * 49.17) = £157.51
    Cost after cashback = 367.50 - 157.51 = £210
    minus the value of the gift = £210 - £185 = £25

You can use the non-affiliate links provided above, go via a cashback
site for a little extra sweetener or (only if you're happy to do so) you
can also go via my site (URL in the sigline below) and help support the
further maintenance and development of an ethically-minded information
resource. The choice is entirely yours.

Those are good deals, but for anyone not interested in the PSP the LG8330 is
available on a 12 month contract with 12 months free line rental.
On 3, it includes 400 anytime/any network minutes and 250 texts.
Again, it's via redemption but providing you remember to send your bills off
    you won't pay a penny.
If you want a PSP it makes more sense to get the free 12 month offer and buy
a PSP with some games elsewhere.

Be warned that e2save are owned by the Carphone Warehouse and any
repairs will be handled by them without the a courtesy phone. Repair
time takes 2-3 weeks if they can fix the problem themselves, in not
add another 2 weeks onto that while they send the phone to the
    manufacturer.

And be warned also that you'll be very lucky indeed to get anything
that e2save promise out of them without a fight. My experience is that
they don't pay supposedly automatic cashbacks (so what are the chances
of them sending out a PSP pack) and the same goes for cashbacks that
have to be claimed. That experience is shared by a lot of other people
too - just search around the NGs and forums a bit, you'll see what I
mean. This was a good company to deal with - once! It most certainly
is not now - do NOT trust these people an inch.

Fully agree. Had nothing but broken promisses and mis-information from
    them.

Led to me cancelling my last (and final) order with them.

My contract is due up in a month or two and I'll be cancelling them
    too.

A free phone on a 12 month contract with free line rental? Clearly I'm
missing the catch here. How is anybody making any money out of this
    deal?

An ongoing poll for E2save on MSE gives results of:
    Cashback paid OK 78
    Cashback lost 6
Not perfect by any means but reasonable.

    OTOH OneStopPhoneShop:
    Cashback paid OK 36
    Cashback lost 11
Now there is one to avoid.

But of course you really need to look at Carphone Warehouse as this is the bunch of clowns that are
behind E2Save these days and I doubt they get such a good rating.

In my case they failed to send me the bill to claim cashback with then twice failed to send me a
replacement bill for the one that never turned up.

Personally never doing cashback again until the companies that promote them automatically credit you
with the money without you having to send in bills etc.

And yes I have complained to CPW and have so far failed to get a response.

    CPWH
    Cashback paid OK 60
    Cashback lost 0

    Polls as off 15/6/06

Bearing in mind that folk are far more likely to vote when unhappy than
happy then CPWH and E2Save seem like some of the better ones. Also The
Link are on 13 paid to 1 lost.
Its OSPS and some of the newer Mobile Etailers that I would avoid.

If you place more confidence in a couple of individual opinions than the
    poll thats fine by me.
I was just trying to provide some balance to the assertion that E2save
    are not to be trusted.

You may want to take a look at who owns OSPS. Clue - CPW.

But they're just 3 separate companies with the same owner.
CPW won't help you with problems caused by the other two.
eg... For cashback with OSPS phones you must send in a paper bill, but
CPW (who do the billing for OSPS Vodafone) encourage you to use online
billing, but this will then void the OSPS cashback scheme who don't
accept bills you've printed off yourself in case you've edited them. Or
they try to void it anyway.. ;-)

Hardly a fair comparison, elections are about having to choose between
different groups of greasy haired tossers who are only interested in
    their own concerns !

Hmm, ok, forget I said anything; carry on

But as a sidenote; anyone who thinks that things would have been any
