I'm wanting to get one of these for use in France. The French Orange Sim
    card has credit expiry etc.

Now at 12.99(+ VAT but includes 5 Euro crediT, that's alot cheaper than all
others I've seen(Riiing, GoSim, GeoSim), the credit doesn't expire either.
It doesn't use a callback service either by the sounds of things, you just
    use full international dialling.

To call the mobile using the Sim, you have to start with 00 372 plus 8 other
digits. I'm assuming therefore that it's a simcard from Estonia?

Would the 0044 Global card be better or Sim4theworld? The rates are slightly
better, the Sim Card costs more, but it provides you with a UK number?
Although I notice they have a rather restrictive list for which handsets
    work with their SimCard.

    Any Help appreciated.

    Cheers

    Dave

If you want a UK number and you're mainly using it for phoning to/from the UK, you
could look at getting a Vodafone PAYG SIM and registering it for Passport. Depending
on your usage this could be the cheapest way - eg evening calls to UK landlines from
France would be 75p plus 5ppm, so £1 for a 5 min call. x-net would likely be similar
prices to oneroam, daytime to landlines would be more. Incoming would cost you 75p
per call but the caller is dialling a UK number so this could be cheaper overall.
Also you can get a SIM without paying more than the credit you get on it, and last
time I looked they were throwing in free texts.

If you want a French SIM without expiry, look at NRJ Mobile (1 call
every 6 months). None of the French SIMs have what we would call cheap
tariffs, but you could use a callback service for calls from around 12p
    a minute

Oneroam seem to be reselling Travelsim; it is from Estonia, and does
use callback. 0044 seem to have switched from CallKey to Callblue, both
with IoM numbers. Probably Geodesa has the cheapest reseller tariffs of
CallKey at the moment. The advantages of IoM numbers is that many
providers count them as UK, so people can call you for less.

Study the whole lot at http://www.prepaidgsm.net/en/international.html

With any of these SIMs, it's up to you if you can find cheaper other
callback providers, which would mean either double callback or a
    separate trigger arrangement.

This seems better than the Orange deal - how can one get this knowing not
    too much French?!?!?

From the OneRoam website, they indicate to make a call, all one must do is
use the international format - no need to initiate a callback. Travelsim
credit expires in nine months, OneRoam doesn't? Their Sim is much cheaper
    than Travelsim as well.

it seems possible to order online, but to a French address, but I'm not
sure if it needs a French credit card. Also in some retailers
    https://www.nrjmobile.fr/visiteur/en...ustrouver.html

Use callback from Voipfone or Mywebcalls - about 12p for France mobile

I don't know why it's cheaper, although I think with less credit on it,
but all these type of SIMs definitely use their own callback. But as
far as dialling goes, with most it is normal either from the phonebook
or entering the number, then you get call not allowed or similar
message, then the phone rings and the other number is ringing. It's
only on some older phones that the menu-based dialling is needed from
    the extra menu folder

Did you read what I said? Why not a global card? What are the benefits? I
can't speak French too well, so how do I get around that?

    Please offer some constructive advice.
