Hiding caller id (phone no) while sending SMS

Hi All,

I want to know - how can I hide my phone no while sending a text
message ?

I know I can do so for a voice call by prefixing the called no by 141
e.g. by calling 14107788111222 instead of 07788111222. However, when I
try to do the same for text messages, 'SMS send failure' occurs. I
tried this with two different handsets on two different networks but
got same problem.

Another Q - Say I ask my network to permanently hide my phone no (for
caller id). Can someone pls confirm that using 141 prefix for voice
calls will unhide my no for that call ?

if you have your number permanently withheld you need to dial 1470
(07788111222). Or *31# (07788111222) (#31# before withholds the number)

Can't do if for texts though
