into trying to get it to block withheld numbers , anybody
know the process so i am off to a flying start .........

    PS/
is it something to do with putting ALL your numbers
into the one folder and then diverting ALL calls
except the ones in the folder to answer service

    PPS/
is it possible to have some numbers diverted to
particular land line and some not etc

Don't bother you'll probably send it back, everyone does.

So much so that as of yesterday motorola discontinued them!

Strange, we've got several and locked to 2G mode with generic firmware
they're really quite a nice handset, if a little large. I have to say
though that as sold, the Vodafone customised firmware is very poor and
    the Orange firmware truly unusable.

Maybe if the networks stopped breaking perfectly good handsets, people
wouldn't want to upgrade so often... oh, I guess that's the point. ;-)

    Re: V3x and withheld numbers

    Hi Bluesky,

I'm not aware of any way you can block withheld numbers on the handset.
I can't find any information in the manual although it may be an idea
    to contact Motorola directly.

With regards to diverts, page 75 of the manual tells you how to alter
your divert settings, although this is just for changing the number of
rings (5, 10, 15, 20, 25 etc) before it diverts to Voicemail and
mentions nothing about diverting individual numbers.

You can forward your calls to a different number on Vodafone by using
the following command: * * 2 1 * (insert the number you want to
forward to here) # send. However this would apply to all calls made to
your mobile number and there is no way of breaking the calls down into
different folders as far as I'm aware. To cancel Call Forwarding you'd
    need to use # # 0 0 2 1 # and send.
