K800i and Vodafone 3g with laptop?

Just got a K800i on Vodafone contract.
I want to try and use it as a 3G modem for use with a laptop - either
through the USB cable or bluetooth.
I have tried using the supplied PC Suite software which has a 'mobile
networking' option but I just get an error when trying to connect through
the phone.

I have also tried Vodafones Connect Me software and the Mobile Connect
software but neither directly support the K800i.
When I loaded all the software and connected the phone it loaded at least
two modem drivers for it so I am sure what I want to do is possible.
I did not specifically request 3g or data on the tarrif but I understood
they would still be available on 'per use' basis.

Anyone managed to do it or point me in the right direction?

I work for Vodafone and hope I can help.

I think that we'd need some specific details from you so that we can
look into this for you, so I'd suggest contacting Customer Services by
email with the following information:

- Make and model of handset
- Make and model of laptop
- Version of Windows that you're using
- If you have any other modems running on your laptop
- The error message (if possible please take a screen dump using the
'print screen button' on your keyboard)

To do this, you can go to www.vodafone.co.uk, select the 'Contact Us'
field at the top of the screen and then 'email'.

If you could also type the code FIT135 in the body of your email, it
will be routed to a member of staff who can investigate further.
