Can anyone help? I have been looking at roaming charges on T-Mobile's
web site, and I'm a bit puzzled.
If I send an "ordinary" text message while abroad (in Europe), the cost
per 160-character message seems to be 40p to UK subscribers, and 50p to
other countries.
The charge for each Picture Message (and I guess any MMS message will
be the same price) is 20p regardless of the destination. But the limits
for an MMS message seem to be 1000 characters plus a 99Kb attachment.
Can I really send just over nine times as much text, and an optional
picture, sound or movie clip, for half the price of a "vanilla" text
message?

I have checked this strange situation with TMobile dealer services and
it is true, cheaper to send MMS than SMS, bizarre but true.

Yep - me too. I was even advised by CS to send an MMS as it's cheaper.

Even better, if you buy a bundle before you go - any MMS sent whilst abroad
will come out of the allowance.
Remember that you can send MMS to email and the person receiving can reply
once via email to your phone - you should not pay for receiving
