Can anyone advise?
I am on Racoon 35 with unlimited calls to landlines bundle. I get 250 mins
to landlines but when they are used the cross nets minutes are being
deducted for landline calls. Surely this is not how it is supposed to work.
Anyone else with same problem?

Unfortunately the way I understand is that calls to landlines are only
free once you have used all the 500xnet minutes to landlines+whatever
else first.
Your bill may have a 250 landline minute bundle, but it should also
have an 'unlimited landline calls' under the Racoon 35 tariff listing
which overwrites the 250 mins.
Quite strange and certainly not the way I'd have expected it to work.
Hope this helps..

No it's not. You almost certainly have the "unlimited landline calls"
missing from the account.

Unfortunately this is how it works.
My bill shows these bundles are active:
Racoon 35 Promo 18mth Plan
Direct 10% Extra - 50 Mins
Open Access
Unlimited Fixed Line Mins
My fixed line calls appear to be debited from the various bundles in
the following order:
First, from rollover minutes in the Racoon 35 bundle (NB. Only the 500
cross network any time minutes will roll over)
Second, from the 250 fixed line minutes in the Racoon 35 bundle
Third, from the 500 cross network any time minutes in the Racoon 35
bundle
Fourth, from the Direct 10% Extra - 50 Mins bundle
Finally, when inclusive minutes are exhausted, from the Unlimited Fixed
Line Mins bundle.
To be fair to Orange, I checked with them before changing to this
tariff because it looked too good to be true. I was told that fixed
line calls would be deducted from the 500 cross network bundle before
becoming 'free', so in my case the 250 fixed line mins are a bonus that
I wasn't expecting.
Obviously I would prefer if landline calls were all free, without using
up cross network minutes. I expect many people will have assumed that's
how it works, in which case Orange are in for a lot of complaints when
people discover the truth.

Indeed they are. I didn't know that and I've been selling it as such for
2 months.
I'd better look into this today methinks!

A lot of complaints, but a lot of people under contract.. So nothing at
all will happen.

Re: Orange Racoon 35 free landline offer
Thanks very much for your reply Jon... I have seen you post on this forum
many times and assume you are employed by Orange in some way.
I am just wondering if Orange are telling me Porkies or not because my
account accessed via the internet shows I have unlimited fixed line in my
bundles and when I spoke to their billing line yesterday, they told me that
they were aware of the problem on some people's accounts and I would be
credited back if charged but that is not the point because it has been
eating into my cross net minutes. I was told it would be sorted within 10
days but I have a nagging feeling they were just trying to pacify me.
Thanks anyway.

Now I'm confused. I spoke to OCS on Monday and the young lady assured
me that the x-net calls and the landline calls were automatically taken
from different "buckets" (my word, not hers) depending on the number
dialled. I asked her twice to make sure that I had understood it
Was she right, wrong or mistaken?

I looked into this today and I couldn't find anything definitive to
support was Chris said earlier. On the other hand I also couldn't find
anything to dismiss it. I will investigate further tomorrow if I have
time.

I think she is right, that's certainly the way it should be.
I'm still looking into it at the moment. I'll send a few emails tomorrow
to various people. If anyone has a bill showing any anomalies please let
us know here!

Hi Jon (another Orange Shop worker here - in Penzance)
I checked a chaps bill today, and this is what should happen....
If a customer is on the Racoon Tariffs, the landline bundle is used FIRST if
calling an 01/02/03 landline. If 07, then obviously it's coming out of the
x-net core bundle.
If on Racoon 25/30 (or 35 if not bought direct) then the landline calls will
get deducted from the x-net bundle if the landline bundle is exhausted.
Like jon said, if there is an anomoly to this, then it ain't right. Get your
itemised bills and call customer services.... or go see Jon :-)

Actually the cause of the issue has been identified and is getting
remedied in a new tariff table upload tonight. Affected customers have
already been identified and credits will be appearing on November bills
to anyone who has been overcharged as a result.
Landline calls should come from the unlimited bundle, preserving the 500
for mobile>mobile calls.

That is absolutely brilliant news.
It has been implemented on my account.
Thanks to all who replied.

Thanks for the update.
The remaining minutes service on 150p1p1 confirms that landline calls
are no longer being deducted from 'any network' minutes, which is a
result!

No old chap, I believe I missed that. I presume it's a television
