Hi,
last year I extended my contract with O2. Got a fantastic deal 500 mins for
12 pounds a month or something like that (I currently live abroad so no idea
what's it exactly) + 100 pounds cashback. If they didn't give it to me, I'd
have moved to 3 as I need to keep my number active for the 2 or 3 times when
I come in and make a lot of calls. Anyways, is there any deal of this kind
going on at the moment or will O2 do the same thing this year? I know that
there were a lot of people that got that last year as O2 needed to get their
quota's fulfilled, so there's a chance that someone tried doing that again.
Thanks for your help.
Kind regards,
Raphael

Is there a particular reason you want to commit to another 12/18
months?
Or, put it another way, you do realise that you won't automatically be
cut off after the current 12 (or18) month contract completes....
Were you specifically told that after the minimum term of your current
contract, the line rental/minutes would revert to a lower value deal ?

Hi Matt,
I know that I won't be cut off. I thought that they'll put me on a higher
tariff after I'll be done with my 12 months. I'm on 500mins to all networks.
I can't remmeber what they said at that time. It was about a year ago. Maybe
someone here could tell me if O2 increased their monthly charge? I'm
currently abroad and can't even check my mail to see what's happening to my
account.
Regards,
Raphael

Your tariff should remain the same Raphael, nothing should change. The only
reason they want you to upgrade is so you stay with them for another 12 or
18 months. If you're not bothered about a new phone and all that malarky,
just keep the one you've got, and tell them you don't want to upgrade.

Hi David,
thanks for your info. I didn't talk to them since I upgraded as their
service was faultless. I hope that when I will come back I won't get a
really nasty surprise in the form 50 pound line rental . You managed to
put my mind at rest. Thanks for your help guys.
Kind regards,
Raphael
