Hello
I have a Nokia 6230 with an O2 pay-monthly account. I have had the
phone for about a year and a half and have had no problems with the
phone until a few days ago.
Now my phone is OK when making calls and sending texts, but it is
mostly not able to receive calls, and texts seem to be taking a long
time to be received (some may not be getting through at all, I don't
know).
If I call my phone from another phone I get the message that "It has
not been possible to connect..." but if I then use my phone to make a
call and then try to call it soon afterwards then occasionally it will
receive the call.
I have tried putting a different SIM (an O2 pay-as-you-go) and got the
same result.
Does anyone know why this might have happened and whether it is likely
something Nokia or O2 will fix under the warranty or if they will try
to claim it was a fault that I somehow caused?
Is there anything I could do to fix it, i.e. the phone is quite dusty,
could this be a factor?
Any help appreciated.

The first stage is to contact O2 and see if there is a problem.

I was told by a Nokia Service Centre rep that Nokia handsets come with a
2 year warranty. See if a Service Centre can update your phone firmware.
Hope this helps!

Don't know if this helps but my son is on O2 payg and I can rarely call him
(especially from my Orange phone), instead I get either the same message you
get or it goes to his O2 answerphone service.
Of course Oh dear.... sorry, O2! say there's no problem
