quite like the idea of 3's X-series - not so keen on the monthly cost guess
they have to recoup the cost of the N73

I have an old nokia 3 phone (the funny-shaped on that CPW did for next to
nothing a few years ago on cashback which works with a pda which has email
    clients, msn and browser.
Also interested in their £15 for 500 min promotional tarif but not in the
"girly" phone that comes with it
Given that I have a 3 sim card, phone and have used 3 in the past what are
the chances of a deal on the tarif?
Prefer to go down the pda route
When I left 3 they were calling with silly deals for ages - almost giving it
away - wonder what the score is now?
Any ideas on getting the 500 min deal, with silver x series. Preferably no
more than £20 /month? Not interested in
    a "free" phone.

    Many thanks

Phone them up and ask? The tariff is £15pm, and the X-Series add on is
£5pm. But I don't know if X-Series will be compatible with your phone,
or the one that comes with the deal. There is no reason why it
shouldn't, but I think Three are only doing the offer on certain handsets.

If you want to do a deal on a handset you might struggle, most renewal
deals are about not having a handset upgrade etc.. But see what they say.

    Hi James,

I guess the bottom line is whether they would offer an ex customer a good
    deal for the contract
Really as long as I have some form of "unmeterered" connectivity for web
e-mail msn etc I'm not fussed
about slingbox or ebay/yahoo stuff. I guess the skype part would work if it
is effectively a voice call to skype gateway
that would be a bonus rather than a showstopper.
As I said it is really a deal on based on the £15 for 500 mins + £5 for
xseries silver WITHOUT a handset from 3
