I'm finally giving up on Orange after twelve years.

I know that I can port my mobile number to whichever new company I choose,
but I also have an Orange Answer Fax number which is published on business
cards and various other places. Is it possible to take a fax number to a
    new phone supplier as well?

    Cheers,

    Dave...

Yes. A single PAC can cover your voice, fax and data numbers.

If you port to Vodafone, you can sign up for a vodafone.net account
which gives you a combined voice/fax/email mailbox. When signing up
your separate voice mailbox number and fax number is replaced with a
single number that is used for voice and fax. So bear in mind if you
take this option you will end up losing your original fax number
anyway. I am unsure as to what options other networks offer.

An answerfax number isn't a real number, so the answer in no. If it was
a real MT fax number which caused your mobile to ring with "fax call"
    then you could port it.
