The fact that T-mobile can apparently bar reverse charged SMS has been
mentioned a few times.
A few people (me included) assumed that the option "Charge to account
Bar" listed under additional services on "My T-mobile" did this.
I've had this option enabled for several months now. Yet this morning I
get a couple of text messages and get billed for £3.
I looked through the help text on "My T-mobile" and it suggests that
there is no way to bar this service.
Anyone know if it is actually impossible to bar reverse charged SMS on
T-mobile or if the "Charge to account Bar" should have stopped them and
as a result I shouldn't have been charged?
Steve.

Hi Steve
There is a bar that can be added by Customer Services along with Charge
to Account bar that will stop reverse charged SMS.

What does "Charge to Acount bar" actually do then?

I managed this a couple of years ago with T-Mobile when it was known as
"Mobile Terminating SMS Premium" (equally unclear). I actually had to
write to them under recorded delivery to get it to take effect.
However, like the other poster, I think you can now also do it by
ringing Customer Services.

The Charge to Account bar stops you from being able to purchase services
such as T-Mobile ringtones, wallpapers etc. It also functions along with
the mobile terminating SMS service to bar 3rd party SMS.
