Is there any alternative software that can be used to sync a K800i's
contact and task list with Outlook?

The Ericsson supplied software gives errors on Windows XP about
CAPI_Worker_Thread and doesn't seem to work for anything apart from
    transferring data files.

    Have you tried re-installing it?

Mine came up with some file installation errors when installed on my laptop
running XP Pro SP2 but works fine. It installed OK and works fine on our
main pc running XP Home SP2.

There's something wrong with your system then, mine doesn't do that.

You could try floats mobile agent.

Thanks guys, I'll give your software suggestions a go.

I did try reinstalling the Ericsson s/w, and downloading the latest
    version of it. No dice!

    Cheers

I will give that a very big second!
A friend has a K800i and I spent hours trying to get the SE software
to work. I installed MyPhoneExplorer and it worked instantly. It was
so quick to set up. Unbelieveable that one individual can write
software that works and a big consortium like SE produce software
that so many people have trouble with (as witnessed by the many
    postings found on the Net).

    Remove 'no_spam_' from email address.

And hats off to SonyEricsson for making their AT command set/control
protocols etc openly available to those developers who request it.
