I have had a cashback deal from JAG (fine) and just ended one with Link (so
far so good, but still owed a lot of money).
Looking for a new one on Reestit excellent site, but I not heard of most of
the 9 providers and those I do recognise
    don't seem to be reliable.
Can any one tell me which one(s) ARE reliable ?
    They are:
    Buy Mobile Phones
    Cool new mobile
    E2save
    Mobileshop
    One stop phone shop
    Phonebox direct
    Phones 2 U
    The mobile outlet
    The phone spot
    TIA
    Regards,
    Martin

Delayed payments are an annoyance I can live with, but non payment is NO-NO.

I've had no problems with mobileshop, my final CB payment was a week late,
but the main thing was I got it.

I have used Buy Mobile Phones, E2save, One stop phone shop and The
Mobile Outlet all of which have paid but you have to make sure that you
read the terms and conditions very carefully and comply to the letter.

Mobileshop are currently having major problems with their cashback
system. Despite wanting to take a very generous (to them) 60 days to
pay, they are now at 127 days and rising for my third claim. Will they
pay this before my 4th claim is due in 3 weeks or so...?

Oh! My last CB was in Jan 07 and I think I got the payment paid in Mar 07,
so think I've been lucky in missed all the problems.

I'll need to go back and read all the Mobileshop threads as I was playing in
the next moth to look for a new deal for the wife.

My first 2 claims were paid about 3 weeks late or so, which I wasn't
really bothered about. The situation is now unacceptable, especially as
it appears people who submitted claims after me are getting paid.

So far so good with CNM; 3 cashbacks paid, 4th confirmed as in the
system, 1 to go. All turned up within a week or so of when I expected
    them.

2nd cashback was a b&w scanned copy of the bill (after I copied the
originals and shredded them by accident), and 2nd, 3rd & 4th were just
popped in the post (after "signed for" on 1st one was a total farce).

That said, I'd much rather have a 75% cashback that's fully automatic
    and guaranteed

Eh ?? .What was "popped in the post" and what " was signed for on 1st
    one " ?

Why just accept 75% ? .You are entitled to 100%.

Should have been clearer - I sent the first claim by royal mail's signed
for service. It never showed up as delivered on the system so I got the
claim form from the post office, sent it off, and after the cheque
turned up had a call from the post office telling me it had been
delivered. It still didn't show as delivered online and they didn't know
why "because it did on their screen"

I didn't bother with signed for with the second one as it seemed a bit
of a waste of money as I was sending copies and that wasn't allowed by
the T&Cs. Despite sending copies and simply posting it 1st class, the
    cheque duly turned up.

After that, I felt a lot happier with CNM and sent the third and fourth
    1st class also.

Well, you're only "entitled" to whatever the retailer decides they want
to offer you out of their commission, but with all the hassle that
people seem to have with cashback, I for one would consider trading some
of the cashback value for the a more stable supplier base (I've used
mobileshop lots before but wouldn't consider them at the moment for
example) and automated cashback rather than having to send in claims

You realise that signed for as in Recorded Delivery won't get you
compensation for the CB amount as the voucher has no value .You need
to use Special Delivery and add on Consequential Loss to the value of
    the Cashback Refund .
As for the amount of CB paid that is set out so ,providing you adhere
to the T+C they must pay what you are due but I guess you meant 75% of
the value of the contract period .

Reading it back, I'm not entirely sure what you are asking.

My point was that I'd be happier with a trading model where the cashback
was set at an appropriate level and the process automated such that
everyone who took out a contract got the entirely of their cashback
worry-free, rather than setting the cashback unrealistically high and
relying on a significant number of people defaulting.

    That make sense?
