Nokia 6070 Unlockable Or Not? Nokia Chargers Universal Voltage?

Hi group,
Is the Nokia 6070 unlockable or not? I just want a basic cheap triband
that can be unlocked to use on a partner network in Canada. Opinion
seems to vary from website to website as to whether it is possible.
Does anyone have a definitive answer?

Also, are Nokia chargers in the UK now universal voltage? I found out
last year that the one supplied with my old 3200 wasn't.

I'm sure they *are* unlockable, although I haven't tried with mine. There's
a firm which advertises in one of our local free papers, which offers to
unlock a 6070 for a fiver - and I'm sure I've seen on-line references which
claim to do it for free. One such is http://www.unlockitfree.com/unlock.php

The charger which came with mine is marked 100-240v, 50-60Hz - so should
work ok in Canada. It has a built-in 13A 3-pin plug, of course, so you'll
need an adapter to plug it into a north American socket (unless Canada uses
British-type sockets - can't remember!)

Yes, easily! I got one as a free OVP Virgin upgrade earlier in the year
and locked to orange but I had it unlocked in seconds using the website at
www.unlockitfree.com . The 6070 is a DCT4 phone so easily unlockable.

I think so! In my case, the one that came with the 6070 (which uses the
new very small plug rather than the older 2mm one) is the AC-3X and is
marked 100-240V.
