Which handset has the longest standby life. Application is a low
accuracy, poll every hour geotracker. Will never make a call or text.
Will receive a call (won't answer it) if an event happens, but phone
then retrieved.
Nokia 1112 looks good but only seems to be on VirginMobile (don't
subscribe to location tracking) and locked (btw will a T-Mob SIM work
in a Virgin phone, or an O2 in a Tesco phone???), and also Nokia 1600
ran for two weeks.
Old s/h no problem is 3x00. Anything non-Nokia?
Will happily use an fat battery, but only if neat and tidy. Don't care
about weight/size, and certainly not about features.
Can you make a phone"check in" with the network less frequently, to
save juice??

Nokia 6310i lasts just about forever .... well, good 10 days with a few
calls included so I guess longer if no calls at all. I confidently go
away for a week of normal use without a charger.
Could you disconnect the display to save a little power perhaps?

Re: Handset with longest standby battery life
Why not power the phone from a 12v car adaptor and a 12v battery. Should
run forever then.
