It depends on the type of USB you`ve bought. If you`ve bought an external
USB hard drive then you`re going to have difficulties ever connecting your
phone to your PC using it. :-)

I was being silly because you didn`t say what you`d bought as a USB. USB is
simply an interface, a type of cable that plugs into your PC. Ity could
have a hard drive on the other end, a mobile phone or pretty much anything.
What you`ve bought it a USB cable to connect your phone and your PC, but if
you make things like that clear then you`re moe likely to get a helpful
reply, rather than people messing about :-)
For your actual problem, I don`t have a clue - I hate Sony phones so have
never used one. It`s a personal choice, they work fine for many people, but
I just don`t like them :-)

You;ll probaly need some software to do this .Have a look at the Sony
website for helpful hints as what to do . Is there nothing in the
phones handbook that guides you ?

That's a rather daft statement, particularly as the handset under
discussion isn't a Sony one. How can you know you hate them if you have
never used one?
I particularly like the one Sony phone I have, but of course they merged
with Ericsson so it is many years since any Sony phones were made.

Sony = Sony Erricson for all intents and purposes. I`ve seen them in shops
and friends using them, and there is nothing redeeming about them at all,
AFAICS. As I said, YMMV.

Not even nearly true.

Yes, actual experience would teach you a lot. Till then, best look
before you leap, eh?

So if you ask the man on the street what the difference was, what would they
say?

Which part of my post above was difficult for you to understand? " I`ve
seen them in shops and friends using them, and there is nothing redeeming
about them at all, AFAICS". I`ve had plenty of time to look at them, as
i`ve been doing lots of mystery shops on mobile phone stores, so have been
spending hours comparing handsets. And I can safely say that, for me, Sony
(or SE, whatever you want me to call them so you don`t get confused) are
right at the bottom of the pile. As I also said, YMMV - if you like them
then that is your decision.

I can understand it, but it appears you can't. This is you saying "I've
never actually used one, but I know better than people who have"

Have you considered getting a life?

I can think of several other makes that are far far worse in virtually
every respect, but let's not let facts get in the way of your irrational
prejudices.
