Anyone having problems with the speaker giving a nasty buzzing noise
occasionally? I was pondering whether to upgrade to the K850 but the guy
at o2 put me off, saying they have had lots returned with bugs, he
recommended the C902. Any thoughts?

I would steer clear of the K850 myself and did actually buy a K810 instead
(to replace my K800)
No idea about the 902 yet tho.

I don't, I've got one, it's been great. It's on 3 though, so I don't know
what 02 might have done to their firmware for the 850

I would not recommend the K850i. The partial touch screen is badly
designed, the battery cover is also badly designed and the phone can
switch off by itself after a little bit of wear and tear. Plus I had
to have the phone replaced twice under warranty after something went
wrong with the software and the display started showing gibberish (the
first time) and the phone repeatedly failed halfway through the boot
process (the second time). I think that Sony-Ericsson rushed a product
out that clearly wasn't ready in order to have it available for
Christmas last year.
All this is a shame, because the K850i has easily the nicest camera I
have ever had in a phone. If the C902 is basically the K850i but
fixed, it is probably worth having. I haven't tried it though. I am
presently using a K770i, which is basically the K800i in a thinner and
lighter form factor (although with an LED flash rather than a Xenon
flash). I like this a lot, but it is only a mid range phone at this
point.

O2 dont do anything with the firmware, nor do any other network. The
device is manufactured by Sonyericsson.
