If there was no minimum period the service could easily be abused. For
example you might get someone who suspended every monday-friday and only
used it for weekends.
For a supposedly intelligent man you really don't think things through
before posting sometimes.

Orange would never make any money out of such customers.

I don't agree with a lot of things they do and I bloody work for them,
but that doesn't make me an apologist.
No network would ever offer a service whereby you could simply turn on
your contract off and on at will with no minimum period of time. It
would be far too costly to administer (Customer Services would be
constantly busy taking calls from people wanting to turn their service
on or off) and simply would not be practical.
Is Orange still the only network to even offer the contract suspension
service in the first place? I've not ever heard anyone on this newsgroup
mention that other networks do it and I've been reading it for nigh on
ten years.

BTW 3 are offering 10 quid credit to take the PAC to them,
I took one of my Orange PAYG numbers to 3 PAYG, got the tenner
