Or go to dealextreme.com and get an unlocking shim for less than a fiver
including postage. And you can move it to another phone eventually...

    Indeed :-)

Actually it's still a rip-off even if they were plastic gas filled ones, as
I've got a box of 50 that cost me only £3.

    Update:

I e-mailed the company explaining that I was unhappy with the transaction
and that I felt I had been mislead in what they were advertising.

They have just refunded the full payment to my paypal account.

Now....What can they do with my IMEI that I should be worried about?

Looking at their terms you have been sent exactly what you ordered...

"Phone models that will get an unlocking guide
Samsung - All models not listed in codes section above
Sony - All models not currently listed in code or software section above
Nokia - All models not currently listed in code or software section above
LG - All models not currently listed in code or software section above
Blackberry - All models not currently listed in code or software section
    above
All other phone makes not currently listed above."

The Nokia 5310 is not one of the phones that they say will receive 'instant
    codes'

I personally would put it down to experience and read the 'small print'
    before parting with money again.

Actually, I think he *had* got it...hence the 'even if'. His point being
that his gas filled ones were even cheaper than the matches...

My favourite one as a kid (we all smoked like chimneys at school, didn't
you..?!) was someone who asked the crowd in the playground how to turn a
packet of cigarettes into a lighter.

They all stood scratching their heads, of course the answer was to take
out a fag, thus making the packet 'a cigarette lighter'..!

My local poundland does 10 decent disposable lighters for £1, so for
£5 you could get 50. Can I have £5 for my services? Ta.

I believe something like this came up a while back, exactly the same con.
