Hello,
A relative of mine with a Nokia B95 8Gb would like to invest in a
separate bluetooth receiver due to the unsatisfactory performance of the
built in GPS. This will be used for Tomtom Mobile 6, not the Nokia Maps
application.
Can anyone make a recommendation so I know where to start looking?
Budget around £45-£50.

I bought one of these:
http://www.qfonic.com/navicore-perso...re-p-2001.html
IMO, an unmissable bargain...
It contains a GlobalSat BT-338 in OEM clothing.
Sirf III V3.1.1, v. sensitive
I kept the GPS gizmo and re-sold the software for a few quid.
The GPS device is excellent. A little larger than average, but it has a good
10 hours battery life. The battery is easily replaceable (just remove the
battery cover and out it comes, like a mobile phone) and it can be recharged
using an (older style) Nokia wall or car charger.

I use a proporta solar-powered GPS receiver with bluetooth. The solar power
doesn't keep it going indefinitely, but the battery lasts a lot longer than
without the solar cell. It cost me about 70 pounds, but I'm afraid it might
now have been discontinued. I am very pleased with this receiver that I use
in combination with my imate Jam pocket PC.
Regards,
Philip.

This kit includes a Nokia Wireless GPS Module LD-3W
Not sure how good it is but if you can get one of the £10 vouchers
around for Expansys then it costs approx £16 + p&p

I went for the solar powered one in the end, recommended elsewhere in
this thread. My uncle says it's bloody brilliant.
