From what info I can see, Vodafone only allow porting in of a number
with a PAC *at* the time of taking a new contract, and don't allow later
porting in a number to an existing contract, is this correct?

If so, it's rather unfortunate as the cheapest online offers I can see
(mobiles.co.uk and dialaphone.co.uk) seem to allow porting in to all
networks *except* Vodafone at time of taking a new contact.
