Hi,
Is it possible to bar incoming calls when roaming on Virgin Mobile?
I tried looking at their website but it seems to be down at the
moment.
Thanks.

You could divert them to voicemail and pick up any messages later.

Make sure you setup the divert before you leave the country though, or
you'll end up paying for the international leg whilst they leave the
message...

Is that true or myth?

This is certainly true as I discovered to my cost several years in Ireland.
I was on Vodafone at the time and decided to answer calls if they came from
a number I wanted and press cancel to divert the calls to voicemail if I did
not want the call. When I got my bill, I found each call I had diverted to
voicemail even if only 2 seconds was charged for 1 minute of incoming call
to Ireland, and one minute of outgoing call from Ireland to UK mobile. Very
expensive mistake!

I thought so too. I've diverted all calls away from my phone while
roaming more than a few times and I don't recall ever getting charged
for this. Busy/no reply diverts always attract the double charge,
on the other hand, whether they're set up before you leave or after
you get there.

Ok, maybe that's what happened then... Maybe I didn't set the divert up
properly...
All I know is that the one time I forgot to set up the divert before I left
the UK, I got charged for all the calls that were left on my voicemail...!!
