Unlocking Sprint Samsung 2 SPH-D710 Phone?

Hello,

I have a Sprint Samsung 2 SPH-D710 Phone from an old contract with Sprint. I was unable to keep the contract and the service was terminated after economic losses from unemployment after Hurricane Sandy. I have new employment now and would like to unlock this Samsung S2 phone to Virgin Mobile or another CDMA carrier, so I do not need to spend money on another cell phone. This phone has a MEID number (14 digits) not a IMEI (15 digit) typically found on GSM phones. I read a few forums online stating lengthy processes to unlock Sprint phones. Also, i've seeked support from unlocking services however many companies have told me they cannot provide any assistance in locking this phone. I currently use it only with a wifi connection and skype as my phone line.
