Hi all.
I have a Samsung S4 and my wife has an iPhone 5 and I want to move them from Verizon to ATT.
I know I can move them and there's some code I have to set in the phone (either or both), but I have some questions.
First off, what happens to all the Verizon software that's on my phone? Do I have to root it or buy an app like root explorer to take it off? Do I need to remove it to transfer to ATT, or can I just leave it on?
What about software updates from ATT? I'm not going to have all their software installed, so do I then need to manually update the OS, or is that all done from Google independently of the carrier?
Will (or can they) ATT store wipe and install their software on our phones for us if we want?
Thanks for any advice.

Re: Moving S4 and iPhone from Verizon to ATT.
Educate yourself. AT&T Support is the worst in the business. Talk to 10 different people and get 8 different Answers. You can wast a lot of time on the telephone.
I don't ever bother with them anymore. Been using a Mac Computer since 1986 but, I've an iPhone 5 65GB & other than making phone calls I'm iPhone ignorant. This forum is rather confusing. I wanted to ask questions about iPhoto but its more like unclassified ads to sell used cell phones.Last edited by TriumphNut; 06-06-2015 at 04:17 PM.

Unfortunately you can't use the Verizon S4 on AT&T. They both use different models.
For the iPhone it is unlocked from Verizon and it will work on AT&T, but you will not get LTE data because it is not programmed to use LTE channels 4 & 17.

You can go to the iPhone forum and ask about iPhoto if you want: Apple (iPhone) - Cell Phone Forums
