Hi,
Was wondering if any VM customers could tell me if there are any taxes, fees, etc for their 35, 45 or 55 monthly plans for the iPhone? I was told you only pay sales tax if your state charges tax but I'm hearing different rumors now and don't know who to believe. I live in VA if that helps. Trying to get questions answered on the phone with VM is next to impossible with all the overseas reps...
Thanks
P.S. Also in general, if you could tell me your experience with VM regarding coverage, voice, data, etc I would greatly appreciate it. I live right outside of Washington, DC in Arlington, VA and my home area and any areas that I would be traveling to all seem to have good coverage, according to their map but I wanted to ask just to double check on what others are saying since they have no forums on their site. Also, if you go outside of a VM area, does the phone just not work since there is no roaming?

Re: Question for Virgin Mobile USA users
If you purchase through Virgin Mobile, sales tax will be charged (at least it was in my experience). If you purchase through another online website they may or may not charge tax, depending on the website.
Virgin Mobile uses Sprint's network, and is only as good as Sprint's network in your area. Their data speeds are known to be slow, although Sprint is improving their network. You're correct, Virgin Mobile does not roam, so if you leave Sprint's native coverage area (where Sprint has their own towers), the phone will not work. If you call 911 the phone should connect to any available and compatible tower in the area. So, if Verizon Wireless has coverage, and the phone has 850 Mhz, then it should user Verizon Wireless to call 911, but it will not work for any other calls.
