Unlock Lg volt

Hi,
First of all i'm really frustrated. I bought an Virgin mobile Lg Volt from ebay. When i tried to activate it, it says it's locked and i should bring it back with my receipt. I contacted Virgin mobile they said i would first have to cintact Lg fir new sum since mine is not compatible. Now Virgin mobile told me i could still use phone without sim on a 3g network but they failed to tell me about unlocking to get phone activated. I've been getting run around. Please help!?

if you getting virgin mobile directly from company.. then it should be unlocked from company... not need to ask...
i think you should visit to your company...
