Anything basic is fine, as long as it handles AT&T DSL and serves
as a wireless router too. Being able to adjust the wi-fi broadcast
    power would be nice.

    Thanks.

Look at Zoom Telephonics Zoom ADSL X6v 5697 (VOIP ATA adapter) or Zoom
Telephonics Zoom ADSL X6 5590 (no VOIP port).

It might be discontinued, but it's still available.

One thing I noticed about it though is that the Wi-Fi wasn't as strong
    as the 2Wire modem/router from AT&T.

Also, be aware that the usual problem with the AT&T 2Wire modem/routers
is that the power supply fails, but in a way where it still powers on
some of the LEDs of the unit so you don't realize it's the power supply.
If that's the case you can just replace the power supply. Get a 12V/2A
supply. Splice in the cord from the old power supply, keeping the
    polarity correct.
