My phone has the ability to send an e-mail, or a text message (Nokia
6340i). Do I have the ability to send e-mail via my own personal pop3
account, or will it be my phone number @ mycingular.com ?

    Both.
Using your number @mycingular.com will send it via SMS @ $.10 per
    message.
To use your POP3 email you need to have wireless internet on your
account and then set it up @ www.mywirelesswindow.com

On your phone directly, it will be your phone number.
If you login to "my wireless window" you can send emails using the
    cingular.com email address too.

i dont know too much about that phone, but if it has a pop3 client built in
you can send and receive email from your home isp servers.
