    Hi all,
    I am a current AT&T customer with a treo 600 on the AT&T network. I am
attempting to roll my plan to Cingular (same company, right?), and they
are telling me I need to purchase a NEW TREO in order to work with the
    Cingular SIM.
Is this absolute truth? There has to be another solution to this!

If you REALLY have to move over to orange and can't stay with blue, then
    you'll just
need to have your phone unlocked so it will work with the cingular SIM. I
    don't
know much about unlocking Treos, so do some googling. You may be able to do
it yourself, or you might have to send it out and pay someone $25 or so.

Thanks for the information. I am in the process of trying to figure out
where to get an unlock code - there is a lot of B*S* on the net regarding
this...so I gotta be careful about which one I choose, eh?
Anyway, thanks for the validation that I dont need to purchase a NEW TREO!!

If the Treo is a GSM one then goto www.mytreo.net search for the unlocking thread and ask for the unlocked firmware fix.
