Got a nice new moby that can play .mp4 video format, which typically is what
none of my videos on PC are in. Is there a nice easy program to convert wmv,
avi etc to mp4???
TIA

Hi,
Try downloading the Nokia Multimedia Creator from their website - works
fine for avi to 3gp (mp4 on
motorola A835)

I don't know, the Nokia site is a useless labirint. Try "mpegable x4
live". You'll have to configure some extra setting(video, audio codecs)
but its perfect. The movies that I convert with it run great on my Mot
v300.
If u need some hint about the settings just tell (its a little bit
painfull trying all the settings for optimal quality and optimal
performance and then copying the movies to the phone 1000 times)

The a835 plays back wmv files already so there is no need to convert
them to mp4. In fact wmv9 files look alot better on the A835 than mp4
files. Whatever your source material is I would reccomend converting
to wmv and not mp4.
You need Windows Media Encoder (
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...r/default.aspx
) which is free to download.
