I have a Nokia 6800 with web access, so I tried uploading a midi to a web
server and downloading it via my phone.
When I look at the directory listing on the server, it says:
song.mid audio/midi 30KB, but when I try accessing it, I can't download it
onto my cell phone.
Is there some special way to download midis, applications, and pictures
off the web?

You could get a after market data cable (cheap) and then use LogoMaster or
Oxygen phone manager.
Or try going to http://www.tagtag.com/site/index.php3 and making your own
FREE wap site, then download the ringtone/picture from there.
Sometimes the site is down/busy so keep trying, it is a good site.
