I've never actually programed a mobile phone before. I have a few games
I would like to write. Can anybody point me in the right direction?
Also, is it possible to program the IR port on the 6100?
Thanks,
Mark

Depends what you mean by 'program the IR port'... that's a little vague.
Certainly, if you program a game or application, it's possible to send it to
the phone via IR.
For development advice, check out www.forum.nokia.com

No, actually, I wanted the program itself to be able to send data to the
IR port. For two-player games, for example, or to talk to another remote
IR device.

Check out www.symbian.com.
There are some white papers and links to other workgroups and forums.
Most of the new phones run this and from here you can get the SDK's and help
upon where to start. I have literally just started this week so cant offer
much advice.
Oh, hope you have broadband, the SDK for my phone was 100 Meg compressed!!

From here you can get the right SDK for your phone. Let me know if it helps.
