Help with Nokia 6100 Display Problem

Hi all,
A friend of mine has this phone and has a problem with the display screen
when displaying a photograph. She uploaded a photo which when you view it in
the gallery displays properly i.e you can see the four people in the photo
and there is space above and below the image (not all of the screen is used)
When you set this image as a wallpaper the image somehow is oversized, it
fills the entire screen, there is no space above or below the image. My
phone, which is the same (albeit more recent software version ) doesn't have
this problem with the same photo.
Any ideas?

mine does this too (firmware v04.70).....the only fix i've found is to
manually put white borders on the photo....or you can play with the aspect
ration/size of the photo, but that takes a little more trial and error.
Besides, it can look quite cool for some backgrounds

I've got the same problem, but I WANT my images to fill the screen. But can i get rid of the stupid white bars? No chance!!
