Last night I received the following message to my Nokia 6600 which is on
Vodafone through Singlepoint!

So I decided to click copy the URL and safely access it on my PC and got the
following details;
File name poly.php
From new.monstermob.com
I saved the file to my PC and converted it to a txt file and got the
following details;

So is this a scam or just a higly overpriced polyphonic tones service?

Actually if you look at the prices some ppl are charging for a few bleeps,
it's very competetive. Still deceptive and highly intrusive marketting tho,
so I'd class it as a scam nonetheless.

I'm not so sure. If it's not pretending to be other than what it is,
there's no misrepresentation involved, so it's no more a scam than,
say, trying to get people to pay £8 a month for top-up tv when all
they show appears to be the sort of old rubbish people get set top
boxes to escape from in the first place.
Isn't "spim" the word for this sort of thing? Or is there a sp*
specifically for sms spam?
