    Put a 2G (GSM-SIM) Simcard and turn ON the phone.
    #4960*xxxxxxxx#
    *4960*xxxxxxxx*xxxxxxxx#
    Turn OFF and ON again.
    xxxxxxxx = any numbers
    Remember the xxxxxxxx you used.
    You will need to use same code in the furure.

    Re: nec e616v unlock

    is that for a certain version of the phone for it wont work for me. it
    chooses to ignore the commands I type in and only recognises these as phone
    numbers.

    NEC Temporary Unlock:

    Put a 2G (GSM-SIM) Simcard and turn ON the phone.
    #4960*xxxxxxxx#
    *4960*xxxxxxxx*xxxxxxxx#
    Turn OFF and ON again.
    xxxxxxxx = any numbers
    Remember the xxxxxxxx you used.
    You will need to use same code in the furure.

    Attention:
    - This unlock method ONLY works with one Simcard. If you change to another
    Simcard, you will have to unlock again!
    - This method depends on the firmware version. If didn't work only a cable
    soluction can help you.
