6160 message display help

I don't have the text messaging feature, but I have the envelope icon on my
display( due to my experimenting and creating a message I believe) and can't
get it deleted from the display. I've looked in my manual and can only find
how to delete if you have the service. Any other way to delete icon?

An envelope icon usually indicates that there is a text message
waiting for you that you have not read. Do you have any messages that
you haven't read?
