Hi I'm very new to cell phones, my kids convinced me to jump in. My question is... I have the Family Share 60 and they list 500 long distance minutes per month, does this mean no charge for any long distance calls up to the 500 then after that they start charging 35 cents per minute?

Re: 500 long distance
Yes, you pay for the 500 min of long distance as part of your plan. They won't charge you extra unless you go over the 500 minutes.

Re: 500 long distance
Thanks Dan for the helpful info. I think I may have more plan than I need, but will see how it goes.
Just wanted to say that I find these forums to be very informative as I work my way through them.

Re: 500 long distance
To note:
500 minutes LD is included, yes, HOWEVER, you will still be charged airtime as if you were making a local call. So it still eats off your airtime, there just won't be an extra charge for the LD part.
