As far as I can tell, this class action suit against AT&T is legit and a settlement has been reached. Apparently you did not have to do anything to be included in the class action and you should eventually receive a refund if you paid extra taxes to AT&T between November 1, 2005 up to and including September 7, 2010.
This was posted to the site:
On June 2, 2011, the United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division granted the Motion for Final Approval of the Settlement. The rules allow for appeals of the Judges order. Whether or not there are appeals, Class Counsel and AT&T will continue to collect refunds of taxes paid from the taxing jurisdictions. As required by the Plan of Distribution, no payments will be made to class members until the maximum amount recoverable for a state, including amounts due from various local governments, has been collected. Please continue to refer to this website for updates regarding the distribution process. Thank you.

Re: Is attmsettlement.com legit?
I received a notification of a class action in the St. Louis circuit court. MBA Surety Agency, Inc., v AT&T Mobility, LLC, Case No. 1222-CC09746. I cannot locating a claim form for this action to submit. Upon further review of the site, I am under the impression that I do not need to file a claim form. Is my assumption correct. Also, I urge anyone who receives notification of a class action to file a claim form if one is required. It has been quite beneficial to me in the past year - fattening the kity about $500.
