Corning announced new version of their Gorilla Glass - it's 5th generation.

Manufacturer claims that this version have 80% chances to endure fall from 1.6m, for bigger hights chanse is lesser but still improves in comparison with older generations.

All of this without losses in scratch resistance. First models of phones with Gorilla Glass 5 may hit shelves even this year.
