Setting a Ringtone, Alarm and Notification Sound:
- From the home screen, swipe the "notification" bar down using two fingers
- Tap "Settings"
- Go to "Personalize" and tap "Ringtone" under "Sound"
- Select the desired ringtone and tap "Apply"
- Tap "Notification sound" and select a notification from the list
- Tap "Apply"
- Tap "Alarm" and select the desired alarm sound. Tap "Apply" to assign it
Changing the Home Screen Wallpaper:
- From the home screen, tap and hold an empty area
- From the pop-up, tap "home screen wallpaper"
- To select an image from the gallery, tap "Gallery"
- Crop / resize the image and tap "Done"
- To choose a wallpaper from your computer, tap "Computer photos" > "HTC Get Started"
Adding or Removing a Home Screen:
NOTE: if BlinkFeed is enabled you will not be able to add home screens before the BlinkFeed panel.
- While on the home screen, tap and hold an empty area
- From the pop-up window, tap "Manage home screen pages"
- To add a home screen panel, swipe left and tap "+"
- To remove a home screen panel, located it and tap "Remove"
- After you've done editing the panels, press "Back"
Setting a Different Home Screen:
- To set a different home screen panel as the main one, tap and hold an empty area
- Select "Manage home screen pages"
- Swipe left or right to locate the desired home screen
- Tap "Set as home"
Adding a Widget to the Home Screen:
- Press and hold an empty area on the home screen
- From the pop-up, tap "Add apps and widgets"
- Touch the icon shaped like an arrow pointing down
- Tap "Widgets" and browse for the desired widget. You can also use the "Search" function
- Tap and hold the widget that you wish to add, and drag > drop it on top of the desired home screen
Resizing and Changing a Widget's Properties:
NOTE: Certain widgets can be resized and modified via their options menu. The "People" app is one of these widgets.
- Swipe to the desired widget located on your home screen
- Tap and hold the widget and drag it on top of "Settings"
- Change the widget's settings as you see fit
- To resize the widget, tap and hold it until a blue border appears, then drag the borders
Adding Shortcuts to the Home Screen:
- Tap and hold an empty space on the home screen
- Tap "Add apps and widgets"
- Tap the button shaped like a triangle and select "Apps" or "Shortcuts"
- Browse through your applications or use the "Search" function
- When you wish to add a shortcut, tap > hold it, then drag > drop it on top of the desired home screen
Customizing the Launch Bar:
NOTE: aside from the "Apps" shortcut located on the launch bar, all other shortcuts can be replaced to your liking. To do so:
- From the home screen, tap and hold the launch bar icon that you wish to remove / replace
- Drag and release the shortcut over the "Trash can" icon
- Tap "All apps" and locate the desired application
- Tap and hold the app that you wish to move to the launch bar, and drag it over the empty spot
Creating a Folder on the Home Screen or Launch Bar:
- Open the apps drawer and locate an application that you wish to be part of the folder
- Drag the app and drop it on top of another app that should also be in the same folder. Once the shortcut is dropped, the folder will be automatically created
- Tap a folder to open it. To rename the folder tap its name
- To add more shortcuts in the folder, tap "+" and locate the desired apps
- To remove app shortcuts from a folder, open it and drag > drop the desired shortcut on top of the "trash can" area
